    Should do this

It would be relatively easy to implement. Task the interested user(s) with the job of selecting a method of notification (e-mail, letter, certified letter, phone, telegram, messenger pigeon, Goodyear blimp, or what-have-you…) and also with providing the necessary details for successful delivery of the message (i.e. e-mail address, physical address, phone number, etc…). Then associate a fee with each method of communication, to recover costs and support the site.

If a user really wants Should Do This to communicate for them, they should be willing to to pitch in towards the cost of communicating the message.

Also, if a particular method of communication is pricier, users could make partial donations towards the “This” that the recipient “Should Do”. I would imagine it might be a bit more difficult; but, for cost-conscious users or popular recipients of our collective unsolicited advice, it would be well worth it, I think!

Here’s what I think reasonable and viable pricing would be:
    • $1 – e-mail recipient with up to 10 requests of things they Should Do
    • $2 – send a physical, actual letter to the recipient w/ one request on it
    • $10 – send a certified letter
    • $15 – personal phone call to the recipient w/ one request
    • $20 – personal phone call to the recipient w/ one request, with a guarantee of at least three separate attempts to deliver the message before leaving a voicemail.
    • $300 – ballon-a-gram or costume-gram delivers suggestion in person to recipient
    • $35,000 – hover/circle recipient’s home/headquarters for 5 days, displaying what they Should Do. (Shorter messages would display better here.)

    Should do this

Perhaps after a suggestion is made, provide a button to e-mail the person (or entity) who is supposed to take the suggestion. Then the user could provide an e-mail address. I wouldn’t attach that e-mail address to the suggestee’s profile, just send a one-time message through the site from the suggestor.

    Should do this

All these “shoulds” would be worthless if the person/entity never found out.

    Should do this

I’m not sure how that would work, but I would assume that it should be feasible to alert 43T users that someone has a suggestion for them.

Another cool thing, I think, would be to allow 43T users to add it to their list of things.

Not so sure how non-users of 43T would get notified. EDIT: I just ran across the suggestions.yoursite.com. Nifty feature. Not sure I could use that much suggestion making at my site (barely more than a vanity site).

    Should do this

    already has a 43T account
